Stonehenge
Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument on Salisbury Plain in southwestern England that dates from about 3000-1000 BC. The monument, now a ruin, consists of a circular group of large upright stones surrounded by a circular earthwork. It is the best preserved and most celebrated of the megalithic monuments in Europe.
It is unknown what purpose Stonehenge served, but scholars believe it was used as a ceremonial or religious center. Archaeological evidence also suggests it was used as a burial ground.

|
This image, submitted for use on tinWiki.org by AboveTopSectret.com user Dan Tanna, is a rendition of the fabled blackstone pyramid.
Legend states that before humans lived in Egypt, gods built pyramids there from an uknown black stone. The pyramids, generally considered to not exist other than as stories, are supposedly double the size of The Great Pyramid at Giza, and topped with ruby-red gems.
This image appears in the article The Black Stone Pyramids.
