A Scanner Darkly is a 2006 feature film. The film has been treated with an image processing effect that gives it a strange visual style. A Scanner Darkly deals with an oppressive and corrupt social system of surveillance and drugging.

The film can been perceived to convey some idea of the invisible manipulation psychopaths do, and how this can play out in an entire social system. In this way, A Scanner Darkly can be described as somewhat conspiracy theoretical.

Cast

The main characters are portrayed by Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, and Winona Ryder. Also appearing in the movie is well-known conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
