The Aerobot is a radio controlled, unmanned aerial vehicle. It comes it different models, either electric or gas driven. The purpose of the "aerial robot" is, among other things, to conduct surveillance. It hovers using one or more ducted fans, depending on the model, and is capable of carrying ten pounds. Since about the 1960s people have been doing work on rovers to explore the Moon, mars and other close objects to our own. But the downside has always been that these vehicles always seem to have limitations, they cannot do this, or cannot do that. They also suffer from time lags in controls and returning data to use due to the distance that they are away from earth. For planets with atmospheres much liek our own there has been an aerobot designed to be able to go in any direction at any time, it could travel a large space in a small amount of time and would be easy and cheap to create.

Ballon Unmanned Planetary Travel

The idea of sending a balloon to another planet does seem a little 'out there', but they do have a large number ad advantages for planetary exploration. They can be made light in weight and are potentially relatively inexpensive. They can cover a great deal of ground, and their view from a height gives them the ability to examine wide swathes of terrain with far more detail than would be available from an orbiting satellite. It is thought of that they could, be powered by Sola power which would provide an alays permenent source of fuel.
