Fallen AngelsFrom TinWiki.org(Redirected from Akibeel)
Fallen angels are angels that were banished from Heaven by God as a punishment. They were sent to Earth to wait judgment day were they would be cast down to Hell. There are two main groups of fallen angels; these were the angels that had taken Lucifer’s side during the battle for heaven and the fallen Watchers or Grigory. In both groups the angels had been banished for misusing the free will that had been granted to them by God.
[edit] Battle For HeavenIt is unknown the exact reasons behind the Great War in heaven. It is said that Lucifer took exception to being told to worship Jesus and man. Lucifer was classed as one of the highest archangels and found this to be an insult and asked God “A son of fire should be forced to bow to a son of clay?”. Whatever the reasons Lucifer had it was clear he seemed to be outgrowing his post of the highest of the Seraphim and chief of the angels. It is not known exactly how many angels were engaged in this battle according to the bishop of Tusculum in c.1273 as many as 133,306.668 angels fell from heaven in the space of 9 days. Alphonso de Spina later reaffirmed this in c.1460. Satan is said to take the form of a ten-headed dragon in the book of Revelations when he fought God’s army, which was led by Archangel Michael. It was thought that this battle may have lasted for several days with Satan taken a slight advantage by creating war machines, but Gods army was victorious in a final battle between the two sides and Satan and his followers were cast from heaven for all eternity. After the battle for heaven and the fallen angels that rebelled and became what we know today as demons did not lose their natural knowledge by their sin, nor did they lose their angelic intellect. The fallen angels are shown to be obstinate in evil and unrepentant. They feel sorrow but not for what they had done but for themselves as they were aware that they could not now obtain beatitude and that despite their best efforts to encourage man to sin, man would be welcome into the kingdom of God. [edit] Why They Chose to FallThere have been many questions as to why so many chose to fight with Lucifer and causing their fall from grace. It is thought that the ones who followed Lucifer were deceived by him and that is why they chose to fight with him the battle for heaven. But what about the Watchers/Grigory they had no known excuse to disobey god’s word as they knew what happened to Adam and Eve when they did so. It is thought that the Watchers/Grigory fell from heaven through choice, as they wanted to help human kind and did not see what they did as a sin. I Enoch further states that it was for the love of mortal women that the Grigory fell. Seeing them and lusting after them, the Grigory took them as wives and begot children. Those children became known as Nephilim. [edit] Man's Battle With SinIt would seem that God allows the assault of Demons on to men and turns it into a human opportunity and benefit. God gives all men requisite aid to repulse the assaults from demons, and to advance in grace and merit by resisting all temptation from these fallen angels. It is said that the devil is the cause of all human sin. In a strict sense diabolical influence does not enter into every sin of man. Some sins come from weakness of human nature and from inordinateness of appetites that the sinner freely allows to prevail. God shows mercy to those that have been able to repulse such attacks from demons. [edit] List[edit] Azazelis one of the fallen angels named in the Book of Enoch. He is one of the few named fallen angels in the book and one of the leaders of the rebellious angels. He belonged to the class of angels known as Seraphim.[edit] ActionsSeraphim who fell in love with Ariah, a grand-daughter of Caine. It took her aloft to heaven to spare her the deluge. Standard bearer of the infernal host, changed its name to Eblis (Despair). Taught men tools and skills that were restricted. [edit] Forbidden TeachingsAzazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all coloring tinctures. [edit] FateWhen God became angry with the effects of the fallen angels and their Nephilim offspring on humans, he ordered the archangels to deal with the fallen and turn the Nephilim against one another in war before finishing the Nephilim off with with the flood. Azazel was dealt with by the angel Raphael, who God commanded to bind Azazel hand and foot and bury him under jagged rocks in the desert of Dudael. The location of Dudael, if it was ever a real place, is unknown as this would have been before the deluge and thus may not correspond to any modern geography.
