Anthony Frederick Blunt (26 September 1907 – 26 March 1983), was an English Professor of the History of Art at the University of London. He was the "Fourth Man" of the Cambridge Five, a group of spies working for the Soviet Union from sometime in the 30s, to the early 50s. As a member of "The Elite" he studied at the Trinity College.

Anthony went to Russia around 1933, it was approximatly 1934 when he was recruited into the NKVD which has now been absorbed by the KGB. Mr. Blunt was a committed Marxist, he had a very important role in recruting Guy Burgess and Donald Maclean. He joined the British army in 1939. It was 1940 when he was recruited into MI5. It was this time when he passed on ULTRA intelligence from decrypted Enigma messages to the Soviet Union. He reached the rank of major. As World War II was ending, Blunt successfully undertook a special mission to the defeated Germany on behalf of the British Royal Family, to recover incriminating letters written by the Duke of Windsor to Adolf Hitler. It is thought that this mission was the so called 'Vicky-letters' mission which was meant to be letters from Queen Victoria and some of her german relitives.
