Barack Hussein Obama Jr Born on the 4th of August, 1961. He is the junior United States Senator from Illinois and curently a candidate fom the Democratic Partys' nomination in the 2008 Unitd States Presidential Election. Mr. Obama is a family man with 2 childen and a loving wife, he is also an author with two books to his credit titled "Dreams from my Father" and "The Audacity of Hope". Barack is from Honolulu, Hawaii; his father is a native of Kenya and his mother is American. When he was six, he relocated to Jakarta, this is where he lived with his mother and Indonesian stepfather. He was educated at Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He has worked as a community organizer, a lecturer, a lawyer and has stood on the Illinois Senate for several years, spanning from 1997-2004. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for U.S. Senate in January 2003. After winning a landslide primary victory in March 2004 to become the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Obama delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2004 with 70% of the vote.
