The Black Pope is the name conspiracy theorists have given to The Superior General of the Society of Jesus. The society is also known as the Jesuits, who are at the core of many modern day NWO conspiracy theories. As of August 24, 2008, the black pope is Father Adolfo Nicolás of Spain. While the name "Superior General" suggests some overt connection, to military forces, this is not the case. The black pope claims no Jesuit connection with any military. Nevertheless, conspiracy theorists continue to claim that he is the world's most powerful and dangerous man. The title "Black Pope" is said to derive from the color of his vestments; it has no relation to the skin color of the Superior general of the Jesuits. The term "Black Pope" is not officially used by the Jesuits.
