The Celts are a group of European people. A typical appearance characteristic is red hair, pale skin, freckles, and blue eyes. The historical Celts were a diverse group of tribal societies in Iron Age Europe. Proto-Celtic culture formed in the Early Iron Age in Central Europe. By the later Iron age they had spread out to Scotland, Ireland, Galatia and the Iberian peninsula. Following the expansion of some empires like the Roman Empire the Celtic culture and ways had became suddenly restricted to the British Isles.
