CryptozoologyFrom TinWiki.orgCryptozoology is the pseudoscientific study of legendary, paranormal, or living extinct creatures for which conclusive proof does not exist, such as Dragons, Chupacabras and Contemporary Dinosaurs. The word is derived from adding the Greek prefix kryptós (meaning 'hidden') to the word zoology (the study of animals), giving it the literal meaning 'The Study of Hidden Animals'. A cryptozoologist is a person who studies in the field of cryptozoology. Animals studied by cryptozoologists are sometimes referred to as Cryptids, a term first used by John Wall in 1983.
