Democracy

Democracy is a system of which is government rule but they are elected by the people and the people hold the sovereignty and true power. Democracy has been strongly linked to a constitutional republic in recent times because of many similarities; the main reason is because both of their governors are elected into power by the people. Democracy can be dated back to Ancient Greece, Athens is thought to be one of the best examples of what democracy can do. The word Democracy is actually Greek and derives from the word Dimokratia which translates into something along the lines to "popular government". Democracy is a political ideology and has no true definition but the closet that can be said are these two. 1) All people within the Democratic state has equal access to power. 2) Every person within the Democratic state has freedom and liberties which are recognized through out the state.

The philosophy behind Democracy is very simplistic, it is that each and every person on earth should have equal rights and have everything that every one else has. Democracy has a rich history and has been dubbed the last form of government. Its roots are buried in Ancient Rome, mainly Athens, North and South America. It is currently global with almost every country on earth going with it because of its up sides for the common person. It is currently the best and most beneficial system in the world.
