Editor (Sysop) Mission Statement.

The purpose of a Sysop is to uphold the quality level of tinWiki. Everyone has their own way in doing this and not only Sysops can improve the quality of tinWiki.

Some ways to raise the quality of tinWiki are:

• Checking spelling and grammar of tinWiki pages.
• Editing existing pages to fit the format laid out in the Tutorial.
• Helping users via Talk pages to create great articles.
• Reading new edits and checking that they are factual, with out bias, and of a neutral standpoint.
• Ensure that all images abide by the Image use policy.
• Add pages that are needed.
• Edit existing pages with internal links.

Sysops have the ability to:

• Protect articles from editing.
  • This is mainly used to prevent vandalism of important pages such as the main page.
• Can delete entire pages.
  • Sometimes a page just doesn’t belong on tinWiki. Other times a new page may be made to vandalize tinWiki.
• Block Users/IPs.
  • All vandals will be blocked.
