Edward and Elaine BrownFrom TinWiki.orgEdward and Elaine Brown are an American couple being targeted by their government for not paying income tax. Some fear that the case could evolve into another Waco. The United States income tax on labor for citizens is believed by many to not be required by law. After a long heated debate, media frenzy and world wide recognition they were arrested. Edward is now doing a prison sentence at the United States Penitentiary at Marion, Illinois, whilst Elaine does a stretch at the Federal Correctional Institution at Danbury, Connecticut. It was revealed that the Browns' owed the US approximately $625,000. At the start of all of this they represented them selves believing that the law and justice system would prevail, they were wrong. half way through the trail Edward left and did not return but Elaine got a lawyer, which was supplied by the court and began to negotiate with some federal officials. Ed and Elaine were both sentenced to over five years in a prison which was assigned by the court. Before going to jail they were both released for a short period of time, Elaine was told not to go to the old home and not to see Ed, she was fitted with an electronic tag to make sure of this, she was also meant to be accompanied by her son at all times when leaving the house, Elaine left the home without her son, broke of the tag and met Ed in there old home a short while later, breaking almost every single condition that the court had stated.
