Flying SaucerFrom TinWiki.org(Redirected from Flying Saucers)
The term was coined by Kenneth Arnold in his description of his sighting of nine glowing objects stating, "they [the objects] moved like flying saucers across the sky." Though misunderstanding the phrase, many believed that he had described the shape of the objects, not the movement. However, soon after and to present day, Flying Saucers are still being sighted in such a shape. Some of the theories on the propulsion systems of such craft are said that would explain the characteristic way in which flying saucers are said to move in the sky. Such thoughts on their propulsion systems suggest that the craft do in fact not at all "fly" in the common sense of the word, but that they use totally different methods than those that in some way involve the air or atmosphere, which is to say the methods generally known in our human science.
