Global Research is a Canadian online journal, published by Michel Chossudovsky. Global research is an independent research ad media group, this groups consists of all sorts and everything from writers, professional journalists to Joe Average. Global research is currently found in Canada in the Quebec province, they are registered as a non-profit organization. They are not just online, they are also involved in high class lectures and conferences as well as acting as a think tank on international issues. globalresearch.ca proudly publishes news articles, commentary, background research and analysis on a broad range of issues, focusing on social, economic, strategic and environmental processes. Their website was set up just before a dark time, the created it on the 9th of September 2001, on the 11th of September 2001 the twin towers were hit by terrorists, Global research suddenly became a leading website in news reporting and in-depth analysis and a daily letter. This was the bow which shot them straight to fame.

After their great reporting and the general class of the site they were given awards for their writing. With all of the success of the English language site they launched a french version in 2006. later in 2007 and 2008 they launched three more sites in Spanish, Portuguese and German. They have received four Goodwriters Democratic Media Awards all in a row. They are now classified in the top 80 of the best alternative news sites in the world.
