Government

Government is an organization whose stated purpose is to protect citizens from internal and external threats, as well as to take on expensive public works projects that would otherwise not be undertaken. Can be simple or bureaucratic. It should technically have some level of sovereignty within its own jurisdiction. There are those who consider that adult human beings have a natural right to control themselves. This view is represented by, among others, libertarians. The Government is a group of people who are governing the people with authority. Some theorists believe that we need a government and that it is a by product of our need to live in communities. There are currenttly eight types of Government, they are the following. Anarchy which is the lack of ruling amongst the people; Democracy is the presently accepted one which is where officials are voted into power but the people always hold the real power; Despotism which is when there is one elite ruler and every one else is his/her slaves and servants; Dictatorship is when one person has all power and ignores the people, this version has been attributed to George W. Bush; Monarchy is when the power is passed down from one person to another without any say by any one else, this was the norm in the med evil days of Earth; Oligarchy is when the people are ruled by a small group of people who share similar interests; Plutocracy is when the rich rule it all, if conspiracy theories are true then this may be the case already; A Theocracy is when religion rules all.
