The Greys are the most popular and common form of intelligent extra-terrestrial reported. They are typically presented as having over-sized heads and extremely large eyes, but otherwise their facial features are very reduced. Some have suggested the Greys as not natural biological beings, but that they are instead manufactured biological androids of some sort. Their bodies are extremely lithe and gracile in form. As the name implies, their skin is a pale ashy gray colour.
[edit] IntroductionThe Greys are most typically the extraterrestrials described as operating flying saucers and commiting abductions. Sometimes they abduct people directly from their flying saucers, and other times they are the entities that people awake to in 'night terror' types of abductions. While it is possible that the Greys were the species involved in the Roswell crash, the first modern appearance of the Greys came with the abduction of Betty and Barney Hill in 1961. Their experience became the paradigm for the abduction phenomenon, with the elements of missing time and buried memories later recovered under hypnosis. It was during the recovery of these memories that Betty Hill was able to recall a star chart she had been shown when she asked where the entities had come from. The configuration she drew was later analysed and the star concerned identified as Zeta Reticuli. Travis Walton also described grey-type extraterrestrials in his accounts of his abduction. The most iconic image of the Greys came with the publication of Whitley Streiber's Communion, a book describing his own abduction experiences. It should be noticed that this image is significantly different from the heads of the creatures in the alleged Roswell autopsy film. Streiber attempts to come to terms with the incursion into his life, and sees the Greys as a force for good, even if the effects on individual lives can be extremely disruptive. As time goes on, and the alien narrative becomes more complex, it seems as if there may be several species of approximately the same physical appearance, all of whom are being lumped together under the 'grey' rubric. A recent variation is the appearance in some testimonies of the 'Tall Whites' who seem to inspire even more awe and fear in those who have seen them than did the Greys previously. [edit] Links with United States governmentIt has been alleged that diplomatic relations were opened with at least one Grey faction in the wake of the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash at Roswell, and that in exchange for permission to perform cattle mutilations and abductions, the greys helped the United States government (USG) develop advanced technologies. The stories continue to build up, and a narrative that emerges is one in which the Greys have been interfering with human history for millennia. One of the most prolific promotors of this strain of the narrative is known by the single name Branton, who is the polar opposite of the Streiber "greys are good" view: he takes the darkest view imaginable, in which the USG has effectively entered into a deal with the Devil. There is also a book, Above Black, which relates one man's experience of becoming an Intuitive Communicator, allegedly being the telepathic conduit between the Greys and the USG, ready for a day when all electronic communication becomes impossible (though how this circumstance comes about is unclear). Greys are alleged to be living in the underground base at Dulce, New Mexico, and to have been seen at Area 51 in Nevada, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (known to some as Area 52), and other locations. [edit] Cultural impactSince Steven Spielberg's film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, images of aliens within Western culture have tended to resemble Greys. The TV series The X-Files was notable for taking strands of the mythology or rumours surrounding the Greys and their alleged deal with a shadow faction within the U.S. government and making it the main plot driver of the story arc. Knowing references to the Greys are also to be found in shows like Stargate SG-1 and Babylon 5. Alien imagery crops up with increasing frequency and the tensions and fascination we have with these images is brilliantly expressed in artistic terms by the World User's Manual from the fictional Schwa Corporation, a complex and extended metaphor linking aliens with themes of repression, control and religion. [edit] Future humanoidsOne idea of the Greys is that they are not extraterrestrials at all but are actually humans from the distant future. The theory suggests that in our future we have meddled with our genes so badly that the human race as changed to the point that only the most basic of features still remain. What if a virus was developed that altered our very DNA causing us to have the appearance of a Pokemon? Many suggest that the cartoon was developed by occultists in an attempt to prepare us for the shocking visage of the greys. What if a mutation was introduced which suddenly enabled those infected to reproduce at superhuman rates? What if this same virus gave us long life at the cost of losing reproduction? Greys are invariably described as having no visible genitalia. The "future humanoid" theory suggests that they have come back in time so that they may abduct us to recover lost genetic information, or to cross breed in hopes of saving the human race. Such genetic mining operations are not limited to merely humans. Some creatures posses qualities which are highly appealing should they ever be adaptable to a humanoid form. Superior eyesight from night dwelling creatures and the regenerative abilities of some invertebrates. If the government is covering up the existence of the Greys then there must be something in it for them. Maybe after the Roswell crash we met with our future selves and the government agreed to help in the name of mankind’s preservation. The abduction stories and starseeds ideas really fit this theory. If sometime in our distant future our species is in danger due to genetic meddling, it would make sense to try and reclaim our lost genetic info from the past. This MSNBC website takes a look at what may be in the future for the evolution of humanity. The Unihuman looks very much like an intermediate stage between the current appearance of man and the descriptions of Greys. [edit] OccultTo quote Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." There may be a strange inversion of this notion. It seems that Aleister Crowley, a British occultist who liked to call himself "the Great Beast", performed a magical operation in 1918 that evoked an "interdimensional being" which he called Lam. An image is available in the link below, and the similarity with the Greys is truly striking. (The link also mentions Jack Parsons, who worked on the U.S. space program in the 1950s and was also a member of the magical secret society the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO), and suggests that after he conducted an invocation of Lam with L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, an occult connection was opened that brought the Greys here to conduct abductions.) Subsequently, followers of Crowley treat Lam not as an individual being but as a class of entity, and use occult methods to establish contact. One of the members of the ATS forum meditated on the image of the Lam and claims to have inititated contact, predominantly telepathic, with the Greys as a result. See the thread cited below. According to this member, Greys fused aspects of their DNA with homo habilis to create modern humans, and they represent the pinnacle of our evolution, which ties up rather handily with the "Greys as future humans" hypothesis. One theory - promoted by the abovementioned Branton especially - is that the town of Dulce and the nearby mountains, hills and valleys hold a vast network of underground tunnels, which, according to the theorists, contain a giant base, biolab, and genetic research center. According to this theory, Greys are slaves or subjects to the Reptoids, who work in conjunction with the human Illuminati and human workers. The Dulce Wars chronicled battles between the humans and the aliens, resulting in the death of almost every human worker on the base. [edit] Project Serpo
In late 2005, rumours began on the internet that there had been an "exchange program" called Project Serpo in which a select number of armed forces individuals were taken by the Greys to another planet. At the time of editing, consensus is leaning towards this being a hoax, although it could be a disinformation project to sow seeds of ridicule and to camouflage a genuine and similar program. [edit] Trade theoryThe trade theories support the claim that after the 1947 Roswell Crash, the surviving pilot contacted the home planet, or that the home planet tracked it, and eventually made contact. The aliens then confessed their responsibility for crop circles, cattle mutilations, UFOs, and abductions. For coming clean, the U.S. Government made a deal with the Greys. The Greys would be given permission to experiment on humans, cattle and crops, as well as on our environment. In return, the Greys recieved protection in the form of Men In Black and we recieved alien technology, which we reverse engineered to create projects such as the Aurora and the TR-3B Manta or "Flying Triangle". Additionally, high level sources have revealed that the Greys have been experimenting with a type of "Flying Octagon". Some believe that the Greys began to abduct more humans than originally agreed. Some even speculate that they went farther and introduced creatures such as the chupacabra of Puerto Rico into our ecosystem. [edit] Holloman Air Force Base landingAccording to this report, three saucer-like craft approached Holloman AFB in 1971. One of the craft landed, while the other two flew away. The hangar in which the craft landed was opened. Then a base commander and several others came to greet the occupants, who emerged from a doorway in the craft. They were greys, but had very pronounced noses, and were almost a foot taller. The common name for these aliens are Big-Nosed Greys. The Greys moved inside of the hangar to have a brief meeting with the staff of Holloman. The most well known part of it was that the Humans asked the Greys about signals that they were monitoring of an alien species. The Greys said the signals were not theirs', and they had no information about them. The Big-Nosed Greys then moved into their UFOs and left. [edit] Big-Nosed Greys and the futureThe Big-Nosed Greys, according to some accounts, were the ones involved in Project Serpo, and not the normal Greys. These Greys came from a dying planet orbiting Betelgeuse, and put their giant ships into orbit around the Earth's equator. This is when they made contact at Holloman. Serpo was started, but several other species of aliens, including the Nordics and the Blues, warned the government about the Big-Nosed Greys. However, the government ignored the warnings and allowed Serpo to continue. The Big-Nosed Greys eventually made a deal with the Bilderberg Group, who according to this theory were also the Illuminati and Masons and helped in the rule of the Earth secretly. Then President Eisenhower established the Jason Society to discover the truth about the aliens. They discovered this, and also uncovered a prophecy saying that the Earth would be attacked after a false prophet led the world into a new religion in 1992. In 1995, Humans would discover that he was the Antichrist. The Big-Nosed Greys were confronted with this. They confirmed it all, and said that WWIII would begin also in 1995, and that there would be horrible death and famine. Christ would return in 2011. The Big-Nosed Greys said that they had travelled forward into the future to see for themselves. They gave the United States and the Soviet Union time travel devices, which ties in with the claims of John Titor, and the Humans confirmed it themselves. It is also interesting to note that the Big-Nosed Greys supposedly also created us with genetic engineering. [edit] Alternative 3The same theory also claims that Alternative Three was created. Alternative Three was a plan of three possible ways to help the human race past all the war and nuclear disasters. The plans were:
The first Alternative was impractical, so the government moved onward to the other two. The Soviets and the U.S. Government needed to implement population control methods for both options, so they created AIDS, poisoned medication and used many means of alien technology and biological weapons to kill off much of the human race. Then the Dulce Wars began. This broke the bond between the Greys and Humans for two years, but relations resumed in 1971.
