From TinWiki.org
All properly formatted tinWiki articles should contain a Related websites section. It should be its own section and not a sub-section. This section should contain links to website pages that have information on them that is relevant to the topic of the page you are writing. Picking a website can be tricky. You want to be aware of some basic outlines in choosing your sites.
- Do not link to wikipedia.
- Try and choose websites that are as neutral as possible regarding the subject matter you are writing about. For example, if you are writing a page about the subject reptoid, you should choose websites that look at the subject from a rather sober perspective.
- Avoid websites that have spyware, viruses or other types of malware that could be dangerous to unsuspecting browsers.
- Try and pick websites that show all aspects of the subject. If you choose a site that is pro about the topic, you should balance it with a website that is skeptical to the subject as well. In this manner tinWiki is living up to its mission of remaining neutral to its topics.
- Do not link to pages that contain porn or gore.
Creating a Related websites section is similar to creating a Relevant Discussion Thread section. The formatting is exactly the same, except in this case you are not linking to AboveTopSecret.com discussion threads. This is how you would create the section on the edit page:
== Related Websites ==
*[http://www.reptoids.com/ Reptoid Research Center]
*[http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ National Hurricane Center]
*[http://sec.noaa.gov/today.html Today's Space Weather]
Which will result in this on your page:
Related Websites
One quick note, Google and Yahoo are two excellent search engines for searching for websites. However, you can use any search engine you like to do your searches.
