Help:Relevant Discussion Threads on AboveTopSecret.comFrom TinWiki.org(Redirected from Help:Relevant Discussion Threads)
A properly formatted tinWiki article should have a "Relevant Discussion Threads on AboveTopSecret.com" section in it. It should be its own section and not a sub-section. The way you make it so is to type like this:
This will make it its own section, as well as making the section a link on the automatic menu, if you create one. All the links in this section should be links to threads on AboveTopSecret.com. You should not use this area to link to discussion threads on any other message boards, nor should you use this section to link to talk pages on other wiki's. There is no real limit to how many threads you link to. However, as of right now the boolean search feature is unavailable on the message board. So you may need to search for threads using either the Google search function or using the tags that are at the bottom of most discussion threads. The links themselves should be a description of what the thread is about, not a thread url. Also, there should be no spaces in between links, and each thread should be bulleted. The way you go about this is like so:
etc.. The result should look something like this: [edit] Relevant Discussion Threads on AboveTopSecret.comOne other thing to note. When picking threads for the relevant discussion threads section, make certain that the threads actually have some discussion about the topic that the page is about. Many times threads have only one or two off topic responses, so they should not be included in your list. You should also not include short articles that have been closed. |
