Hill AbductionFrom TinWiki.org
The Hill Abduction is one of the earliest and most well known stories of abduction. The abduction story, which involves Betty and Barney Hill, includes so-called missing time. This case is also largely responsible for introducing the Zeta Reticuli star system as an important part of the stories about aliens.
[edit] IntroductionThe Hill Abduction took place on the night of September 16, 1961. The incident was supposedly an abduction by Greys known as Zeta Grey Aliens of Betty and Barney Hill, who were taken aboard the aliens' UFO. Today, we supposedly know what happened inside the craft using Hypnosis regression. [edit] Remembered events
The Hills were driving home from a vacation in Quebec. Close to Groveton, New Hampshire, they both witnessed a point of light moving across the sky. Barney dismissed it as nothing more than a conventional aircraft, but Betty believed it could be a Flying Saucer. Later that night, the Hills noticed the objects was coming closer to their car, so they pulled over and took out binoculars to view it. Betty claimed to her husband that she saw a Flying Saucer shape in the light, but Barney said it was most likely a conventional aircraft with the wings not visible from the angle. They continued to move, the craft coming closer and seeming to keep parallel to the car a few hundred feet away. They were driving slowly so as to view it coming closer. The object was no doubt a disk in shape, about the size of a commercial four-engined aircraft. It emitted a blue-white glow around it, adding to the mystery. The road was abandoned, and the object was moving very close, so Barney pulled over to retrieve his revolver from the back of the car. The object stopped with them and hovered about 100 feet off the ground, a few hundred away. He was watching it with the binoculars, claiming he saw figures move around behind windows busily. Some of them were looking at him. All but one of them suddenly left. The remaining one stood in the window and stared at him. Getting spooked, he ran back into the car. He drove away at very high speeds, telling Betty to look out for the object. She could only see a black sky. Barney claimed that he believed the object to be right above them, but the light from it was blocking the stars. Suddenly, beeping began from the back of the car, and the car shook from it. They felt a lingering fatigue and tingling through their bodies. When passing through Plymouth, NH, they had another beeping and tingling experience from the back of the car. After getting home three hours later than they expected (which they had no memory of), the Hills felt odd impulses: Barney insisted that their luggage be placed at the back door, no where else, and to examine themselves for some reason. They also found that somehow, though they don't remember how, the binocular strap was broken, and Betty had found a strange pink powder on her dress. They attempted to retrace their drive, but they found large stretches of road they did not remember driving on, but were the only ways to get to where they had gone, and chunks of memory missing. Two weeks later, Betty had recurring nightmares about being forced with her husband by little Grey humanoids with the classic Grey look, just with large noses and USAF-like caps. She eventually wrote Donald E. Keyhoe relating the full encounter. [edit] Betty's dreamsLater, she began writing the dreams down. She and her husband were walked into the UFO by the Greys and separated, the Greys stating that "The exams will take too long if you are done together." Betty wrote that one of the Greys, 'The Leader', was the one speaking to them at this point. He spoke English, but had trouble communicating and speaking it well. She was taken and sat into a chair, where 'The Doctor', a calm Grey, came in and examined her, cutting off a lock of hair, examining her eyes and mouth, etc. The Doctor then removed her clothing and told her to lie on an examining table. He used a machine to "examine my nervous system", then used a needle to check for pregnancy. He jabbed it into her navel, creating extreme pain, but he waved his hand and it went away. Once her exam was complete, The Doctor left and The Leader and Betty talked. It wasn't long before another Grey came in and excitedly left. The Leader came back and tried to pull out her teeth, asking why her teeth wouldn't come out and why Barney's did. She tried to explain that he had false teeth, and hers were real. She then tried to explain how they aged, but he didn't understand, so she tried to explain a year. He didn't understand it, so she changed the subject. She asked if she could take an artifact from the ship, and he gave her a large book filled with odd symbols. She asked where they were from, and he showed her a map of a strange solar system. They then brought Barney in and they let them go. The Leader was told to take the book back, so she had no proof of the encounter. The dream ended with Betty asking, "Now do you believe in flying saucers?” Barney responded with, "Don't be ridiculous." The same thing he said with the same question after the UFO encounter. [edit] Hypnotic regressionThe two of them went through several sessions of hypnotic regression. [edit] Barney's reportAfter the UFO incident, the binocular strap had snapped while whipping them when he spun to enter the vehicle. He drove off fast (remembers), but felt compelled to swerve into the forest. He did, and sighting six Greys standing in the woods, he stopped. Three of them approached him, demanding he stopped. The Greys told him not to fear them, and told him to close his eyes. He did so, and he was put into a trance. He claimed they were very similar to Betty's dream description, but with much larger eyes. He seemed obsessed with them, saying "They speak with they eyes only", "All I see are these eyes... I'm not even afraid that they're not connected to a body. They're just there. They're just up close to me, pressing against my eyes." They were taken to separate rooms in a UFO, and Barney was placed on an examining table. Unlike what Betty dreamed, he claimed they spoke a mumbled language and used thoughts to talk. He kept his eyes closed for most the examination. He remembered that there were sperm samples taken, they placed an object in his anus, they counted his vertebrate, inspected his mouth, ears, eyes, and scraped his skin. He was taken with Betty out of the ship and let to walk to the car. [edit] Betty's reportBetty's report was very similar to her dreams, the only major difference being that the Greys had no hair and only a small bump for a nose. She was asked to draw the star map, and so she did, drawing a 12-planet system with two large stars. The system was later found to be a lot like Zeta Reticuli, discovered years later. Many of the planets in the map were identified as planets in the Zeta Reticuli system. There are still a few planets that remain unidentified, one of which could possibly be Serpo.
