Hollow MoonFrom TinWiki.org
Hollow Moon theory relates to the idea that the moon is hollow on the inside. If the theory was right, it would mean that the Moon is, at least partially, artificial in construction. There are many strange facts about the Moon that seem to support this theory. Some people, such as John Lear, claim that there are many artificial structures on the surface of the moon that can be seen in high resolution photographs.
[edit] Some strange Moon factsThe idea of a hollow moon does not just come out of thin air, as strange as the idea might seem. There are many odd facts about our satellite that are hard to explain in the more usual manner. Most people are familiar with the fact that the Moon is exactly the right distance away from the surface of the Earth that during an eclipse the apparent size of the Moons disc is exactly the same size as the Suns disc. Also, the Moon makes one revolution on its axis in almost exactly the same amount of time it takes to make one revolution around the Earth. This is why we never see the "dark" side of the Moon. These facts are weird enough by themselves, however, there are more... [edit] The Moons ageSome of the Moon rocks that were brought back by the Apollo missions were dated as being older than any rocks found on the Earth. The Earth is thought to be around 4.6 billion years old, while rocks from the Moon were found to be around 5.3 billion years old. And the dust the rocks were found in is thought to be about a billion years older than that. This information conflicts with the theory that the Moon was produced by a collision the Earth had with another body early in its history. [edit] Rock's originsThe chemical composition of the rocks that were studied differed significantly from the dust upon which the rocks rested. This is in direct conflict with the theory that the dust was produced by the pulverization of the rocks themselves. However, if the rocks did not produce the dust, then where did it come from? [edit] Heavier elements on the surfaceNormally, as planets form, heavier elements drift closer to the core while lighter elements drift closer to the surface. Not so with the Moon. According to someone named Wilson: "The abundance of refractory elements like titanium in the surface areas is so pronounced that several geologists proposed the refractory compounds were brought to the moon’s surface in great quantity in some unknown way. They don’t know how, but that it was done cannot be questioned." [edit] Water vaporOn March 7, 1971, instruments placed on the Moon by the Apollo astronauts recorded a cloud of water vapor passing over the surface. The event lasted for over 14 hours and covered an area of at least 100 square miles. [edit] Seismic activityEach year there are hundreds if not thousands of moon quakes recorded by the equiptment left by the astronauts. All of these cannot be explained by meteorite impacts. Interestingly, there have been some unusual events that could explain some of the tremors. In November, 1958, Soviet astronomer Nikolay A. Kozyrev of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory photographed an amazing ocurrence. He recorded a gaseous eruption happening near the crater Alphonsus. He also detailed a reddish glow in the area around the same time. In 1963, astronomers at Lowell Observatory saw a reddish glow near the crests of the Aristarchus region. In fact, many such observations of this nature have been observed periodically on the moon, suggesting that they are not natural occurrences. [edit] A hollow Moon
The moon's mean density is 3.34grams per cm cubed. The Earths mean density is 5.5 grams per cm cubed. What does this mean? In 1962, NASA scientist Dr. Gordon MacDonald said, "If the astronomical data are reduced, it is found that the data require that the interior of the moon is more like a hollow than a homogeneous sphere." And Nobel chemist Dr. Harold Urey suggested that there were many, large areas within the Moon that were simply "cavities." MIT’s Dr. Sean C. Solomon wrote, "the Lunar Orbiter experiments vastly improved our knowledge of the moon’s gravitational field . . . indicating the frightening possibility that the moon might be hollow." Carl Sagan was once quoted as saying that "A hollow object cannot be a natural object." On November 20th, 1969, the Apollo 12 astronauts did an experiment with some strange results. They crashed the lunar module ascent stage into the surface of the Moon. The recorded seismic results showed shockwaves reverberating throughout the moon for over an hour. Some have likened this to "ringing like a bell." These results were repeated during the Apollo 13 mission, however this time the shockwaves lasted for over 3 hours. In the Moon's maria, the astronauts struggled uselessly to drill. It was found that much of these areas were made of titanium and other very heavy metals. While some argue that these are the result of volcanic activity, hollow mooners say that this is proof that the interior of the moon was hollowed out by artificial means. There is no doubt that the Hollow Moon theory is very strange.
