MI6 is commonly recognized across the globe as the British security service in charge of defending the world from external enemies thanks to the portrayal of the group as special agent 007's employers in the world known series of James Bond movies. However MI6 is a very different group than is shown in these movies and also has some very powerful allies.

Specifics

From a theoretical viewpoint MI6 is a neutral organisation that does not follow any governmental or pollitical ideology, however it has been reported that even the most sceptical of sceptics have proven that there is a fault in this theoretical viewpoint.

MI6 can not be described as being neutral. There are many established examples of this, one of them being that MI6 has been known to launch campaigns against certain politicians and organisations that they themselves feel are too Left wing or do not support the "Relationship" between the United States and Britain itself.

There is also another famous case in which MI6 was responsible for the resignation of Prime Minister Harold Wilson from power in the year of 1976. It is rumoured that MI6 in conjunction with its sister organisation MI5 had been behind this rather suprising and sudden removal of PM Wilson. When the British government was unable to release the official publication of the ex MI5 agent Peter Wright's memoirs, the full conspiracy to remove PM Wilson from power became public knowledge.

These appauling allegations point to a treasonable plot controlled by a group of MI6 intelligence agents to take down and undermine the constitutionally elected government of the UK.

Blackmailing And The Like

Along with the previous facts, there are reported to be many more cases involving blackmailing by MI6. One of which they are said to have blackmailed members of parliament in order to recruit them.

One of the most important figures seen to be involved with MI6's on going struggle to subvert its own nations democracy was a director of CIA counter intelligence by the name of James Jesus Angleton, who was apparently the mastermind behind the Italian P2 conspiracy,possible mastermind behind the JFK assassination and a confirmed member of the organisation by the name of The Knights Of Malta.

Strange Facts

It seems that MI6 are trying to develope closer ties with the United States. An example of this is that there has been a project developed a system called the British-American Project This project is backed by major companies including British Airways,American Express,Coca Cola, Monsanto and Phillip Morris and even Apple Computers. It is said to be a charitable trust that is meant to bring together senior representatives from the intelligence services,government,bussiness,defence forces from the two countries and even the media. There aim is to bring the two countries together however some people believe that there is something more to this then meets the eye.

Another strange fact is that recently classified British Government documents show that there were plans to turn the United Kingdom into the fifty first state of the United States. This brings up the question "Did PM Wilson scrap these plans, and was that the real reason that MI6 had him removed?"
