Mind ControlFrom TinWiki.org(Redirected from Mind-control)
Mind control is any manner of controlling someone else's mind. Several methods exist. Some of the methods thought to exist are described as extremely advanced technology, some are described as something close to "magic", and others again are described as horrifically violent. Because of the obvious element of power over individuals and masses that is associated with the topic of mind control, many conspiracy theorists are trying to expose secret mind control programs that are suspected to be perpetrated against citizens.
[edit] BackgroundThere are many examples of mind control throughout history. From the hypnotist doing simple parlor tricks on the stage to brainwashing. Many societies throughout the world have tried to condition their citizens and soldiers to be faithful to their leaders to the end. But things got really interesting during the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States. The US realized that its spies could only be trusted to a certain point. A spy carrying information in his or her mind who was captured by the enemy could, with almost 100% certainty, be broken and made to talk eventually. So began a barrage of government programs which at first sought to create the perfect spy. The idea was to create a split personality within the agent. The agent would not be aware of the alter-ego. Information could be given to the newly created identity. Then, using some method, such as a key word, the original personality would be brought back to the surface. This agent could then be told to go somewhere, completely unaware that they had this information! Upon reaching the destination, a handler could say a key phrase to the agent, which would bring the split personality to the surface so that at that time the information could be retrieved. If the agent was intercepted enroute to his destination by the enemy, no amount of torture could be used to obtain the information, as the agent would be totally unaware of it. This idea of creating perfect spies was the basis for the 1959 novel The Manchurian Candidate by Richard Condon, which has been made into motion pictures in 1962 and 2004. [edit] Some U.S. programsThe United States government has been up to its elbows for quite a while in trying to extract the secrets of the mind, e.g., slipping unsuspecting citizens LSD to remote viewing. The projects had goals such as hypnotic resistance to torture, erasing memory, rapid hypnotic induction, post hypnotic suggestion, and have even incorporated experimentation with non-ionizing radiation and microwaves. Many of these experiments were carried out under the names such as ARTICHOKE, BLUEBIRD, PANDORA, MKDELTA, MKSEARCH and the infamous Project MKULTRA. The U.S. government is also using results from MRI scans to decode the functionings of the mind; no success so far, but soon the corporations will have access to this technology, enabling them to read minds and then to rewrite them! [edit] Microwave harassmentMany people have come forward and claimed to be the victims of microwave harassment. They claim that the "government" is for some nefarious purpose exposing them to this non-ionizing radiation. Could these people really be describing some sort of mental problems that they are having? It is quite probably the case in many examples. The effects of microwave bombardment are said to range from something as simple as pins and needles, to accute pain, to certain types of tinnitis. For example, NASA has patented technology where a person exposed to a certain microwave field will hear a noise, like humming, coming from nearby. [edit] CultsCults almost always use some type of brainwashing to gain their members unwavering commitment to their causes. They use many methods to do this, including intense humiliation, sleep deprivation and excessive repetitive routines. There are many examples of cults committing mass suicide for example. Jonestown and Heaven's Gate are two that quickly come to mind. Patty Hearst is also an example of someone who was brainwashed by a cult. [edit] See also[edit] Further reading
