The Mossad is the national intelligence agency of Israel. "Mossad" means institute or institution. Mossad's headquarters are located in Tel Aviv which is a highly populated city in Israel.

Estimated Staffing

There are approximately 1200 people who currently work for the company although the number has declined, there were around 2000 in the 1980's. The Mossad is a civilian service, and does not use military ranks, although most of its staff have served in the Israel Defense Forces. Mossad has been split up into 8 sections, it is thought that they're main focus is in oversea espionage. They have there own agents much like the FBI and MI6, but they are called Katsas. They currently have approximately 30-40 agents operating; most of them are located in Europe and other areas of the Middle East. Assassination, paramilitary operations, sabotage, and psychological warfare are all areas that are covered by the Spec-ops division of Mossad named Metsade.
