The United Nations Outer Space Treaty, or more formally called the "Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies" was enacted in October of 1967. Though the treaty had been proposed in 1963 with a rough draft called the "Declaration of Legal Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space" it took a further 4 years to establish agreements between all nations that would eventually sign the document.
