Police brutality

Police brutality is immoral or even criminal behavior perpetrated by police officers against citizens. Such behavior, which sadly sometimes goes so far as torture and murder, damages society in a very particular way since it is perpetrated by precisely those individuals who are perceived as protectors against brutality.

Taser incidents

Several cases have been reported lately [December 2007] of police using Taser electroshock weapons against peaceful citizens where no reasonable cause seems to have existed for the violence. These incidents have contributed to some questioning the personal qualities of some police personell. Some conspiracy theorists even suggest that thug like individuals are being actively recruited as employees to subdue the population.
