Reincarnation

From TinWiki.org

Reincarnation is the soul existing in another body after its previous body has died. The notion of rebirth is part of, for example, the religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. Some people claim that they remember past lives. Regression therapy is hypnosis that is supposed to help remember, not only back to when one was a baby, but also what happened before birth, and all the way back to previous lives. It is believed that there is a order to it, the order is meant to depend on how good a being you were in your past life, if you were good you shall become a human and if you are bad a rat, although they are just examples, people believe you could come back as anything. It is thought that which each new body the being creates a new personality for that body; although it is thought that a part of all the old bodies does remain in the new body.

It has been taught by many people through out history, the Greeks held the flag in this. Pythagoras, Plato and Socrates all taught this subject. Pythagoras claimed that he could remember his past lives. Pythagorean philosophy and reincarnation was routinely accepted throughout antiquity. At the end of a work that Plato did Socrates said "I am confident that there truly is such a thing as living again, and that the living spring from the dead."
