SR-72 "Blackswift"

SR-72 "Blackswift" or Project Blackswift is the name that has been given to the secret replacement to the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. The SR-72 is supposedly a hypersonic Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) capable of acheiving speeds of up to Mach 6 and capable of altitudes up to 100,000ft.

Origins

The craft was the brainchild of DARPA, and is supposedly being built by the famed Lockheed Skunk Works.

Operational Timelines

The craft is set to debut in action in 2020.
