Starchild skullFrom TinWiki.orgThe Starchild skull is a skull that has certain unusual qualities that caused it to get its name -- people theorize that it might be of extra-terrestrial origin. The skull is presently in the possession of author Lloyd Pye.
[edit] HistoryThe Starchild skeleton was found in a cave by coincidence by a Mexican teenage girl. It lay half buried next to a normal human skeleton, assumed to maybe have been its mother. The girl brought the skeletons with her, but because of the difficult terrain managed to arrive back home with the skulls only. She kept them until old age. After she died, the skulls ended up in the possession of an American couple. Eventually they did not want to keep them, and it was arranged for the skulls to be brought into the hands of Lloyd Pye since it was known that he had an interest in "alternative knowledge" and hominids in particular. [edit] Scientific investigationsPye has worked diligently for about ten years to acquire knowledge as to the true nature of the skull. The scientific community has not been very open to the seemingly mysterious skull, but Pye has persevered with the cause and a number of scientific tests have now been undertaken, and continue to be undertaken. The process has been followed by a number of supporters and interested persons, and Lloyd Pye has also appeared on various radio on television shows with the Starchild skull. The scientific tests show, so far, that the skull indeed does have some unusual qualities, but because of surprising difficulties in obtaining DNA samples from the very old skull, the scientists have still not been able to conclude whether the skull is or is not entirely human. A number of diseases have been suggested as explanation for the immediate physically abnormal appearance of the skull, but none of the suggestions explain the skull sufficiently.
