SteornFrom TinWiki.org
Steorn is an Irish company that alleges to have discovered, supposedly by "accident", free energy technology. The company announced its discovery/invention by taking out a full page advertisement in The Economist, a well-known magazine. After accepting 5000 applications to test the technology from scientists, Steorn chose 22 out of the 5000 who are going to conduct scientific tests as to Steorn's claims about the free energy technology being real.
[edit] Public demonstration failureSteorn announced that the technology would be presented to the public in July of 2007 in London, England, in an event that would also be broadcast on the Internet.[1] The event, scheduled to begin on July 4 at Kinetica Museum, was first delayed and finally cancelled after the demonstration model failed to work.[2] The public fiasco however did not at all discourage Steorn from continuing to claim that their technology is real. Another public demonstration was claimed will take place, but this time without it getting announced in advance. To avoid a repetition of what happened at the Kinetica Museum, Steorn said that the second event will be announced only after the demonstration model is already in place and working. In early September, almost two months after the failed, first public demonstration, no details had yet been given about a second event. [edit] Thieu Knapen validates the OrboIn late August 2007, a video was posted to Google Video showing Thieu Knapen declaring that the free energy technology really creates free energy.[3] Knapen invented the microgenerators used in watches to power them by the movement of the wearer instead of by a battery.
