The Spanish section

Here is a translation from AltaVista's Babelfish automatic translation service:

=== Azazyel === is one of the angels fallen named in book of Enoch. It is one of the few the angels fallen named in book and one of the leaders of the angels rebellious. It belonged to the class of the angels known like Seraphim. Seraphim which they lowered in love with Ariah, to grand-daughter of ==== Actions ==== of Caine. It took it to the sky in stop to save it the deluge. Standard carrier of the infernal, changing host its name to Eblis (desperation). Taught men tools and abilities that were restrictas. ==== Forbidden Teachings ==== Azazyel taught to men to do the swords, and the knives, and the protectors, and breastplates, and presented them metals of the Earth and the art to work, and the bracelets, and the ornamentos, and the use of antimony, and beautifying of the eyelids, and all the expensive stone classes, and all the dyes of the colorante. ==== Fate ==== when the God did angered with the effects of the fallen angels and their descending Nephilim in human beings, he requested archangels to deal with the fallen salary and to give return to the Nephilim against one another one in war before finishing the Nephilim extinguished with with the flood. Azaziel was occupied by of the Raphael angel, who the God ordered that it tied the hand and the foot of Azazyel and buried it underneath rocks indented in the desert of Dudael. The location of Dudael, if outside always a true place, is not known since this one would have been before the deluge and thus it can not correspond to any modern geography.

I am assuming, for whatever reason, that articles in tinWiki are supposed to be in English. Perhaps this translation can be of help in getting the Spanish section translated into English. 62.16.177.8 03:03, 4 April 2007 (CDT)

English only

I've simply restored the earlier english version of the Azazel section. I'm not letting somebody throw out everyone else's work whole just so that he can contribute something that most of us can't read anyway. --The Vagabond 18:06, 30 April 2007 (CDT)

The Vagabond, I never realized there originially was English language for this section (it's a bit puzzling why it was translated into Spanish, I think). Anyway, it's good that you were able to solve this issue. (Another strange thing, so to speak, is I am a bit surprized there's no reply from me here already, since I originally posted about the translation issue, maybe I never did reply...) General article for "Angel"?

I am thinking that perhaps it would be good to have an article about angels in general, and also an article about demons; unfortunately I don't know very much about the topics but I could initiate the pages as brief stubs.

One thing that I am thinking of specifically is the thing about wings in particular, right now... It's been a topic I have thought about every once in a while, that my impression is it doesn't make any sense for any kind of "humanoid" creature to have wings on its back; if one looks at drawings of a winged animal's skeleton and there is a drawing of a human skeleton next to it, I would say it is quite obvious that the wings correspond to humans' arms. So, having a human looking being have wings on its back in addition is basically the equivalent of having a human being with two sets of arms; that's my thought or impression right now, anyway.

I guess a common understanding of the notion that angels have wings is that it is a visual representation of the ability to fly or levitate or that sort of thing, and that it is not meant literally that angels have wings. Also, not that I have read the Bible (although I do "plan" to do that eventually), I understand that nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about angels having wings.

I am told the difference between angels and deamons is the former have bodies and the latter do not. Also, I think I have this both form a Neil Gaiman cartoon and from some article on the web by a Christian, I think deamons are said to be the original inhabiters of the Earth, and they lost the Earth to humans, and so they hate humans for this reason. Not sure it said so, but for some reason I imagine this idea includes the notion that demons are thus ghosts. Optimist 03:30, 7 July 2007 (CDT)
