Talk:Galactic Federation of PlanetsFrom TinWiki.org
[edit] Made the introduction more neutralInstead of saying the Galactic Federation of Planets "is an as yet unproven [...]", it now says "is allegedly a [...]". My thought was that, this being a neutral encyclopedia, claims cannot be made unless they can be "proven" -- and in this case it states in the same sentence that the alleged fact is not proven. Therefore the information should also not be presented as fact, so I instead rephrased the sentence to simply say that the descriptions of the Galactic Federation of Planets are alleged, as opposed to being as yet unproven. I hope this somewhat long explanation makes sense. Optimist 21:21, 12 July 2007 (CDT) [edit] Material was deletedPlease offer a comment in the article's discussion when removing material. This website is about providing information, and when material is removed, I feel there be at least a brief comment as to why the material is deleted. The following text was deleted today: Why would an alien collective of supposedly trillions of minds, running democratically, want to engage in barbaric acts of war against an alien species who's only crime would be that of having differing ideals and Modus Operandi to that of the Galactic Federation? It is more plausible that the 'altrustic and good' aliens in the Galactic Federation had concieved methods that would reduce the harmful effects of the intentions of the 'evil' Aliens, rather than engaging in military squabbles with them, which would seem to be one of the main reasons why mankind hasn't been initiated into the Galactic Federation yet (because of our barbaric methods of resolving conflict). I'm not saying that I have strong feelings for either keeping or removing that section, but since this website is about collaboration, some things are natural to communicate about with the other users and people who also want this to be as good an encyclopedia as possible. Removal of material is, in my opinion, one of the most important of those things. --Optimist 00:03, 10 April 2008 (CDT) [edit] End of the ageThe age of Pisces our current age does not end at 2012... theres allot of info out there about this but i didn't want to change it cause it would change to much of the article... with me not believing in it in the first place. "Robert Hand[15] adds another point of view about cusps in that the stars of the constellation of Pisces overlap the stars of the constellation of Aquarius. Technically the vernal equinox enters the constellation of Aquarius in 2691 but does not leave the constellation of Pisces until 2817. Therefore between 2691 and 2817 the vernal equinox is pointing towards both the constellation of Pisces and the constellation of Aquarius." --...and justice for some 17:58, 16 September 2008 (CDT) |
