Encyclopedic style

To be more encyclopedic, the language should be rewritten to not have first person and second person language, "I" and "you". Optimist 03:16, 20 July 2007 (CDT)

I did a lot of clean up, but I'm uncertain if the fix template needs to be removed. The article could use a bit more work. Madrayken 22:30, 17 April 2008 (CDT)

Great. :-) I have now removed the Fix banner. Optimist 20:12, 20 April 2008 (CDT)

I believe this is possibly a case of "UFO" being meant as "flying saucer". That is, however, not very precise, since a man made flying saucer is, at least in some ways, not actually an "unidentified" flying object.

There was also some observation someone expressed somewhere (don't remember where) that unidentified flying objects, in one of the perhaps most common senses of that term, don't actually fly, but use some other method of staying up in, and moving through, the air. I myself don't know too much about these terms, but I assume what is meant is that "flying" is what airplanes and birds do, where certain methods of moving the air currents around wings is what is called "flying", whereas using some sort of anti-gravity or other such methods, aren't "technically" flying, in the strict sense of the word. Anyway, my comment here is mostly that, in a way, the category "Aliens and UFOs" doesn't seem quite right for this article.
