Feel free to add information

I initiated this page but I sure don't know very much about the topic. Optimist 23:56, 5 October 2007 (CDT)

Nothing

There is nothing really to say about these guys there just in the way of the real Arab league, the united countries. Either a name change or deletion is in order is think; and i must say i don't see any benefit of this article being here. Fox 08:50, 26 July 2008 (CDT)

Fox,
I have now changed the name of this article, which I of course agree with you is appropriate. Before I did that, I rolled back the changes you did -- and after the name change (move), I created an entirely new The Arab League page where I pasted your content. When moving the original page to a new page name, the history was kept. The new article about the actual Arab League, that is to say, the organization of countries, now has a version of its own that begins with your content. I have also created a disambiguation page, which is a practical kind of 'tool' which I think hasn't been used in tinWiki before; it's something I have seen is used in Wikipedia, and I counted this as a good opportunity for finally trying out using such a page here. I also added notification about the article about the real Arab League at the top of this article, including a link to the other article. This is also something that I've seen is often done in articles where the title could be ambiguous so people might arrive at one article when really they were looking for another.
Anyway, why I created this article in the first place, is because the hip hop group is definitely what you might call conspiracy theorists or perhaps freedom fighters, in the sense that their songs seem to very much be about stuff like the NWO and so on. So, while I very much agree that titles and information should be clear and unambiguous, so to say, I consider that any information relevant to the area of focus should definitely be in the encyclopedia. Of course, it should be in its appropriate place, which means information should appear under correct article titles, and articles should be found in the correct categories. And topics that may not be the most central, even if it is still relevant to tinWiki's focus, should have a size that 'reflects' that. Which is to say it could be natural that this page isn't as long as the one about the NWO, and also it isn't natual to create extra pages about every aspect of this hip hop group, like creating a page about someone simply because they happen to be the grandmother of someone in the group, and they gave that member his first microphone for Christmas when the member was seven years old, or something. If you see what I mean. But my impression defintiely is that this particular hip hop group is among those that are in some way part of the 'conspiracy theory community', and that, to me, means they belong, in some way and to some degree, in this particular encyclopedia. 'Principally', these aspects and considerations apply to more than this one article, since really it's a question of what content belongs in tinWiki. Perhaps that's something that would be good to talk about every now and then, since it's always going to be an important question; I mean, after all, this encyclopedia is supposed to be limited in what it deals with, unlike what Wikipedia is supposed to be, but what precisely does and doesn't belong in here, and what considerations should the decisions be based on? I'm thinking to start a thread over in the ATS working forum, which I hope could be helpful.
Anyway, how does this sound to you, what I said about this page and the changes I have made right now? Optimist 10:03, 29 July 2008 (CDT)
