User talk:Chrisbowman1990From TinWiki.org[edit] Hello and Welcome to tinWiki!Hello Chris! Welcome aboard. If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to ask. Most questions about formatting and wiki code can be found in the Help links. But if you are unsure, please just ask myself or Optimist. William One Sac 20:40, 17 May 2008 (CDT) [edit] Made some minor edits in DracosChris, Hi. I made some minor changes in the Dracos article. I have removed the header above the article text. Remember that a page title is already the article title. New headers are really only necessary above sub-sections in the article text (often this will be found mostly in quite long and, therefore, 'structured' articles). So that's just a tip to keep in mind. I also used the image code that will include a link to the image description page. Images used in tinWiki articles are also supposed to appear in the image description page. Lastly, I removed the signature. Remember that tinWiki articles are collaborative works. One thing that should be included in the text is a short 'qualifier' to reflect that these Dracos are alleged creatures, not creatures that are acknowledged by main stream science to be proven to exist. Remember that tinWiki as an encyclopedia strives to present neutral, factual and verifiable fact. So, the article should include some sentence that says something like "Dracos are an alleged species of extraterrestrials"... Where "alleged" is the important word to include, so the article text is neutral, and does not state something as fact that cannot be proven as such.. Anyway, the article you have contributed is good, very interesting, and, of course, is extremely appropriate for tinWiki, since tinWiki is about precisely aliens and extraterrestrials, mythology and mythological history, and all those types of issues (which dragons are of course very much a part of, not least in the vast history of China, but also in Europe). Keep up the good work. Optimist 16:42, 25 May 2008 (CDT) [edit] Re: New Article, ThanksChris, Thanks for your message. The new article you have initiated is good, and also very interesting. Actually, I remembered when I read your work there that I've heard about, or read about, that installation, or what it might be called, before some time. For some reason I notice that it was great to read about that topic again. Thanks a lot for writing that article. :-) My impression is the topic of the Huangyangtan Mystery is interesting from various perspectives in the context of tinWiki. As far as style and formatting, I noticed your nice use of headers, bold formatting in the introduction, and that you used the image code. Remember to enter images you use into the image description page. And keep up the good work. ::thumbs up:: Optimist 19:45, 26 May 2008 (CDT)
