User talk:Nyk537From TinWiki.org[edit] HowdyHowdy' Nyk537, hows it going ? I was just dropping by to say nice articles and additions. I hope you stay around -- o and remember you have got your own user profile page here to do what ever you want to. Fox 12:09, 31 July 2008 (CDT) [edit] HiNyk537, Congratulations on the new articles. It seems like good writing work, there. The articles are also nicely formatted with the sections and formatted headers, and the writing style seems very encyclopedic. Btw., I liked the creativity in your first headers, making the font bold and putting the lines in manually. I remember the impression of creativity and effort when I saw those. :-) Now you know the real header wiki codes, and I guess that's how lots of learning happens, just 'pressing on' until one knows how it's really done. Two minor comments: Like you did with the Bell Witch image, remember to list all images you publish in articles (and to sign your additions there). Personally, I find that a good practice may be to list the image first, since then it's already done when it's put in the article. Also, the beginning of an article should always be an introduction paragraph. The introduction should begin immediately, with no header, and should sum up what the topic is. The description should begin as soon as at all possible, preferably in the first sentence. Both your Altimar article and your Flatwoods Monster article seem to have perfect introductions, except that there are headers above the first article text. So, in those two cases it seems if you remove the first header, you instantly have articles that follow the style guide. I may post some comments on some extremely minor issues later, but the two things I mentioned are basically all you need. Already you seem like a very capable tinWiki contributor. Always feel free to look in the sidebar to the left where you can find interesting help pages of all sorts, and if you have any questions about anything big or small, feel free to ask me or other users, or go to the Help Desk or, of course, the ATS working forum. Let me join Fox in saying I hope you stay around and keep up the good work. :-) Optimist 12:28, 1 August 2008 (CDT) [edit] Confused about something in 666 articleHi Nyk537, I just read your article on 666. Overall I thought it was really well done, but I was confused by the section on apocalypse numerology - maybe it would be worth explaining little more? --americandingbat 16:50, 2 September 2008 (CDT) |
