Voynich manuscript

From TinWiki.org

The Voynich manuscript is a book written in an unknown language and in an unknown alphabet. It is thought to have been written some time between 1450 and 1520 CE. Many attempts have been made to decipher the text, but none have been successful. Some speculate that the book may be only a very cleverly done hoax. The manuscript, which has been named after the person who first brought attention to it, originates from Europe, possibly the end of the medieval period. In addition to the unreadable text, the manuscrpt contains various drawings. As of 2005, the Voynich manuscript is item MS 408 in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University. The first facsimile edition was published in 2005.
